I *was* Legally Blind
I am a relatively young lady who has been attending church at The Message CFCI since it began. I was practically legally blind. One day Ps BG and his wife Ps Chanté took me to an Optometrist for a consultation. They paid for everything (i.e. my tests and the glasses) using church funds. I now see perfectly fine. I serve in church and I encourage others to be faithful to God and to trust Him for their needs. If God had not moved and Ps BG and Ps Chanté were not obedient, I would still be struggling with my eyesight.
I *was* An Alcoholic
The Message CFCI launched at a critical time in my life. I had given myself over to alcohol completely and had lost all hope for my life. At church I gave my life to Christ , was delivered from the addiction, and have never looked back. I now serve and am part of the team that Ps BG and Ps Chanté are grooming for leadership.
I *was* A Victim
At 14 I was kidnapped. The man locked me in the house with him after he raped me. When he had finally passed out I managed to escape and ran home completely naked. I was lied about and bullied by the perpetrator’s family and relatives saying I had consented. All the while through this pain, hurt and suffering Ps BG and Ps Chanté supported me, prayed for me and provided me with pastoral and trauma counselling. I am so grateful for God’s church. I look back at that dark time in my life and the evidence of God’s goodness and healing is so real. I no longer condemn myself. I faithfully serve and attend church.
I *was* Struggling
My mom and I did not have life easy, but she was always taking me to church. I began volunteering and now I am growing in stature, ability and confidence. I serve in the sound desk, with no prior experience on computers or technology. The church is giving me new skills that I will use for life. Our lives have turned around and I have found hope in Christ and purpose in church.
